Well, I am on day 6 post op. Cast off and splints out Friday. I have mixed feelings. I am excited to have the cast off. But nervous about having the splints out.

But here is me now. Bruising is turning yellow, my face is not as swollen, but I still look like a chipmonk. Excuse the hair, as obviously I am unable to wash it often. Managed to do it once and it was a nightmare trying not to get the cast wet.

I haven't had an headache since. Yet, I was getting them everyday for years.

Unfortunately the hubby went back to work tuesday, but luckily for me, my eldest has been helping me out and picking the kids up from school and giving me a break

My cast is off and here are the results. Taking in mind that my face and nose is still swollen and bruised and needs time to go down. I am very happy

Yes, my breathing is much better. Got the bonus of smell and taste aswell. It is so much more intense, but in a nice way.

I am very swollen, it looks on the large side atm. But that will calm down as weeks pass. It has also made my skin in bad condition, so blotchy and spotty

But I suppose I should expect that and can't have it all hehe

I am glad you are breathing better.. and smelling and tasting is a good thing!

It's hard to tell anything just yet... let the swelling come down the rest of the way. I am betting it will all look great when you are healed!
