6 years ago already. Kind of like 9/11. Feels like yesterday. RIP to those who passed & peace to the families of the victims.

I get so angry at the thought of those poor people, just like the 9/11 attack. Just going out to their normal daily lives, and this happens to them.

I will never forget 9/11...sitting there and watching it live on the news. It happened on a Tuesday. I remember the day, because I was getting married on the saturday, just 4 days later. My husband and I wanted and had a one minute silence at our ceremony.

  • Mohammad Sidique Khan (aged 30): Khan, of Pakistani descent, detonated his bomb just after leaving Edgware Road and was heading for Paddington, at 8:50 a.m. He lived in Beeston, Leeds with his wife and young child, where he worked as a learning mentor at a primary school. His blast killed 7 people, including himself.
  • Shehzad Tanweer (aged 22): Tanweer, of Pakistani descent, detonated his bomb travelling between Liverpool Street and Aldgate, at 8:50 a.m. He lived in Leeds with his mother and father working in a fish-and-chip shop. His blast killed 8 people, including himself.
  • Hasib Hussain (aged 18): Hussain, of Pakistani descent, detonated his bomb at Tavistock Square, at 9:47 a.m. He lived in Leeds with his brother and sister-in-law. His blast killed 14 people, including himself.

My neighbour was on the bus behind the one that blew up - she was lucky.
I feel like the words "wrong place, wrong time" are used far too often these days, there shouldn't be a wrong place or a wrong time..
R.I.P to all of the victims and much sympathy to all of the families on the anniversary of this tragic event.

I actually remember this clearly. Phone networks stopped working for about half an hour or so, and my school had us on temporary lock down because we were reasonably close to where the bombings happened..

I agree with Peter Parka - extremists come with every set of beliefs, Islamic or not.
