Why is it women call their girl friends, "girlfriends"? if a dude said they were hanging with their boyfriends people would think they were gay.... just a thought... :24:

If the person am talking to knows her then I'll state her name or juz say "my friend"

dunno...I know a few people who say girlfriends in ref to female friends...if im specifying that then I'll usually say Im going out with my girls....my Bf does the opposite he'll say hes out with his boys.

It sounds weird to me too to hear people use it like that lol...to each their own

That's like my neighbor today...she was talking about 2 women that were "making out" next to her at the beach and how there was a place and time for things like that. So I responded that the same could be said for all those straight couples down there doing the same thing. I don't get the mentality that gay people should refrain from public displays of affection but it's okay for straights. I personally don't want to see anybody sucking face. LOL
