Life is moving way too fast for me!

I used a touch screen Coke machine yesterday and just got an email from Chili's that said "#Winning!"

I still don't understand the stupid # thing. Everything keeps changing, seems like so much faster than when I was a kid, and I can't keep up, not sure that's what I wanna do.

Oh, and did you know the ice cream truck has two ball screwballs now? Ridiculousness.

It didn't vend, but it may have just been empty. The normal ones at the mall all have card swipe things, which I thought was cool and then I saw this and it was very futuristic, so I tried. I failed, but I tried. You just swipe your card, "flip" the pages, and then click "buy me".

Ooh, and the whole nook craze? What's wrong with an ink and paper book? Does everything have to be super-techy?

I just don't see the need to fix things that aren't broken. It's impossible to adjust to something before the next upgrade comes out and you have to relearn.

I have the Kindle which has two major advantages:

1- It's light weight and easy to hold.

2. It's very easy to buy books.

I just don't see the need to fix things that aren't broken. It's impossible to adjust to something before the next upgrade comes out and you have to relearn.

Well, the # tags are used for twitter and show what things are trending, and used for marketing campaigns.

I'm a big fan of technology (which isn't surprising based on the industry that I'm in), and I like the way that it's going. But I do have those WTF moments where I come across something that blows me away... like a touch screen coke machine would have, I've never seen one of those before.

As far as eBooks go... I like to have paper copies of books for sure, but my Kindle allows me to carry around a nearly infinite number of books (since I can download anything that is currently on the account if I have a WiFi or 3G connection). It's a super nice convenience, and especially for people that love to read but don't necessarily have the space for a huge book collection.

Yes. When you can hold thousands of books in the size of one, makes book shelves obsolete. The problem with technology is that is just allows us to cram more crap into our already busy lives.

I really hate the invention of cell phones. The idea of people being able to text you at any time and then whine if you don't write back right away just irks the crap out of me.
