Nadal through, 3 sets to love. Mostly straightforward barring going 4-2 down in the first set, but after that it was straightforward.

I like them. :ninja Heck, one of them is named after me. I HAVE to like them.I keep meaning to go seeing it's just down the road but getting up in the middle of the night to get there to queue for hours keeps putting me off.
One tip if you go though - if you're queueing and some big black bloke comes up asking you who you want to win, say the Willians sisters even if like most people you probably dont like them. The black bloke is probably their dad as he goes up and down the queue handing out free tickets to random people.

I keep hoping that both Federer and Nadal will be upset early in a Grand Slam so we'll see someone new in the fucking finals for once (other than Djokovic at the Australian this year). I've also never been a fan of either one of them to be honest. I also hold out hope that Roddick will eventually return to the form that won the U.S. Open and nearly took out Federer two years ago at Wimbledon. He and Djokovic are probably my two favorite players on the mens side right now... and Isner, simply because he has that massive serve and is ridiculously tall and fun to watch play.
We most definitely won't be seeing Isner vs. Mamut going anywhere near as long as last years match did... I think someone takes it in straight sets to be honest.
The way the current calender is he will face Nadal in the semi (providing both make it all the way of course). I think the hype is terrible for Murray, he's good but not great. Nadal's great, Federer's great. I think moreso because the Countries they come from has much better development of tennis players.
Shame to see Dokic lose but it was a good match and she looks a lot better than she has been in recent years. Now watching Murray match, 4-4 in the first set, he seems to be having a hard time at the moment against someone who should be a push over. Cant see it being anything other than a Federer v Nadal final though. Have no idea why people dont like them, the're two of the best tennis players of all time and you know they will make a classic final.
I've just never been a fan of either of them... and the fact that nearly every single Grand Slam is Federer vs. Nadal in the final just gets really freaking old. I really wish that they were both around during Sampras and Agassi's primes... so we could see who the actual best between the four of them is.
Don't forget Borg, McEnroe, Lendl, and Connors. Several other greats prior to now.
If Pat Rafer hadnt retired so early, he would have been in there too. I miss the days of Aussie/ Swede match ups.
mmmmmmm...Pat Rafter:ninja...and a nice bloke too.
I remember when I was in Australia and Pat Rafter does the Gary Linekar (no more mr nice guy) act in the adverts for Lays (Walkers) over there.![]()
I dont remember those. I only know him in the ads for Bonds.
I forgot about Leyton Hewitt too. He "coulda been a contender" but his play is too erratic.
"Aussie Kim" Clijsters is my favourite female player at the moment.
As for actual Ausies getting through, Sam Stosur is probably our biggest hope at the moment.
Leyton Hewitt is still playing but a load of shit, right out of even the top 100 now. Never liked the racist cunt anyway.
Had to like Pat Cash when I was younger! :thumbupI remember he and his band played a gig in my town a few years after he won Wimbledon.
I always liked Philippoussis when I was younger... but that was mostly because I played tennis a lot like him. Huge serve, lots of aces, but incredibly erratic. :24:
