Matt is finally switching back to days, so we are up at a phenomenally early time for us. We'd been going to bed around 3 consistently, and woke up at 530 today (after slowly working on it this weekend).

Did y'all know it's daylight outside at 530? Just blew my mind when I opened the curtains.

Yea during the warmer months the sun wakes up early. I have to be up at 5:20 each morning so I too get to see it bright and early.

It normally daylight at 5:30am in the summer, but in the winter it is normally 8:00am

Same here.

The only downside is that I have to drive into the blinding sun for part of my commute. The winter months save me from that agony.

That is absolutely the worst. Same with driving when the sun is setting. That sun can be a dangerous thing I tell ya!

At the moment it gets dark here around 10:30/11pm. Its great if you are out doing things, but if you're tired and you just wanna go to bed it can be a little annoying.

I'm not sure exactly what time it gets light here, probably around 5:30am as well. But I love it! It makes it so much easier to get out of bed in the morning when its light outside compared to the winter when it can still be pretty dark at 8:30am sometimes!!

Agreed. During the winter it is so hard to get up and get ready for work when it is still dark outside. Of course now that I am on summer vacation the sun comes up really early in the morning. I could sleep through it but my dogs won't. Boo.

 Pink speaks the truth. Scotland is a bit further north than I am. Here the sun is currently setting at 9:20pm and there is still faint twilight at 10:30. It starts getting light again a little before 3:00am and sunrise is currently at 4:50am. :willy_nilly: We've got about 4 1/2 hours of "night" right now. :D Someday I want to go north to where the sun never sets in summer.
