I missed a really good fish on a very long cast. I felt like my fishing rod was a little too limber. I went to bass pro shop and purchased an upgrade rod on Monday. Today I got a sales circular where they dropped the price on the rod by $20. I called and spoke with customer service. I have gift card to spend now.:thumbup

Nice fish! Good deal on the rod too. I really enjoy Bass, Crappie, Walleye (good eating) and Catfish 'in. My Dad has been getting me into fishing for Steelhead, Lake Trout, King Salmon up in Lake Michigan and neighboring streams.

I have always wanted to flyfish for trout. I have not had the opportunity yet.

I tried flyfishing...it's not for me! We used really big Rooster Tails and crank baits. When they are running, you can't miss them. There is nothing like catching a 15 lb Steelhead in a stream...wow that was fun!

My Grandpa has a fail-safe way of catching them in the stream...the "Polish Bomber" - a huge weighted treble hook (used for illegal snagging of course) :)
