We have a Bass Pro Shop store in my town. Every so often they have a special event for VIP members. They will provide snacks and a free gift and do drawings every 30 minutes for prizes. My wife and I both had a very busy day but I wanted to go and my wife agreed if we would not stay long and I would feed her.
We got there and they were giving away a set of small binoculars to each member. Nothing special but free is free. Instead of snacks they had BBQ sandwiches, chips, poundcake & drinks for VIP's & guests. We ate and started browsing the store. Close to 7 they were about to have their second drawing and I could tell my wife was ready to go. I promised after they drew we would leave. They drew my name for a $25 giftcard! We left and she wanted to go to Belk's. Payback. She tried on a few things and looked around for a while at the sales. I found a pair of $60 dollar slacks that fit me for $18 and bought them. By now we are thinking coffee and dessert but it is getting late and we are both tired. We decided creme horns from Publix would fit the bill. Ended up finding other bargains and by the time we left there it was late and the idea of sweet was on both our minds. We ended up stopping at a convenience store for decaf coffee and eating creme horns in the parking lot. We got a lot of stares but it was a fun evening for us.
