I know we've had this conversation a few times but never within this aspect. Does the definition of a man differ in different countries? Like what qualities a real man should have? I obviously know in different 3rd world countries the age a male is considered a man differs...

Are we talking legally or socially?

I mean legally, it's generally down to age and mental capacity. If you're of sound mind and over the age of 18 then you're considered a man in most western countries.

Social opinion on what makes a 'real man' though can change between different towns, let alone different cultures!

In the US, the general definition is when you're 18. I think it has less to do with age and more to do with maturity. Being a responsible person and facing the consequences of your actions make you an adult. I use the generic "Adult" for being a man. There are some people who are just 15 who behave like adults, and others who are over 30, and still live like children.

I thought the definition of a man was some one with a cock and bollocks with hair growing on them, wherever you live in the world.:dunno
