I've made it my goal to corner the market in moon photos. :D These were taken just after sunset yesterday evening. I was trying to get these pics last week at sunrise (before the new moon) but clouds got in my way so I had to settle for the crescent after new moon at sunset. I couldn't decide which one to post so you get to see them both. :p

The first one. The way the clouds intersect the moon on the lit bit makes it look more natural of an 'intersection' and more appealing than the second one where the moon is just slicing the clouds so to speak.

These pictures would be even cooler if I had any of Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter or Saturn in them as well. :humm: I think my next goal will be to get a photo of Mercury. :D I think it should be visible in the morning sky sometime in the near future.
