I dunno if they were her kids or if she was babysitting but i saw a chick with 3 children when i was out walking there was a kid and a baby in a stroller. the kid was no older than 5 and I'm pushing it. And the mom walked off after a lil girl leaving the baby and the boy by themselves. I don't care how far away the mom was. id say 100-200 ft. Maine isn't as safe as outsiders think it is.

(a cabby was telling me about a lady who found a sawed off near some train tracks we were passing yesterday.... )

true some people not the best to be parents but until you know the full story why this happen not good to judge..
LOL What's to know? a kid and a baby in a stroller were on the sidewalk and the mom wandered off down the street to get a child that wandered off and just left them there. Maybe she thought they were safe next to a church lmfao...

You know people need to disassociate themselves from the thread topics... If their insulted by a topic then maybe they have issues they need to work out.

100 or 200 feet? That's like walking from the store doors into the parking lot.... length of a building.

You exaggerating?

While I agree it's wise not to judge until you know the full story, I'll admit I see some some people and think they really shouldn't have kids.

Especially the ones who started screaming, shouting and hitting their kids in public because the child is acting like a child (like getting excited because they just saw someone in Teddy Bear costume promoting Build-A-Bear or wanting a balloon because they just saw a child with a balloon)

Thats pretty much abusive... Shouting at you're child because they got excited? If they were acting out I can see it and even then I despise parents who make scenes in public. Usually the counting thing NEVER works as I've seen with my cousin.

Maybe im bad at that stuff :24: U still don't leave your children unattended.

I've had to leave Michael in his stroller to run out and snatch up Amara from getting to the street. Distance of maybe... 5 feet (less than my height). I'd not of gotten to her if I pushed him.... he was safe on the sidewalk, leveled and the brake was on.

So I'm a bad mother?

I think you need more time trying to keep track of toddlers to understand, they are fucking fast and super sneaky of slipping away when they know Mommy/Daddy can't chase me. ;)

I agree.

Sitting around in the bus station, waiting for a bus I see a lot of parents getting quite abusive towards their kids for such trivial reasons. I can understand young children can be quite difficult, especially when it's been a long hard day, but I don't think that's any excuse for some of the parents' behaviour I've seen.

And I just wonder, if the parents are acting that badly in public towards their children, where everyone can see, what goes on behind closed doors?
