Thanks! It almost looks like some of the mountains in Joshua Tree :thumbup

Thanks ! That's an amazing place to visit with all the different colors eh? It's gonna be interesting to know how these formations and colors came into existence eh? I like this pic in particular

I heard it's a very relaxing place. Most movie stars I think have vacation homes in Sedona :)

It may be hotter than blazes here in the summer, But Arizona is truly one of the most beautiful states in the country. So many different interesting places to visit. Sedona being my favorite. Love it up there. Like NF, my dad's wife's family has a timeshare at a resort up there, so we go for what feels like practically nothing.

I've lived here almost my whole life and haven't been to the Grand Canyon in 17 years. :eek I wanna take a day trip up that way if I can this summer. And I want to take Abbey up to Flagstaff this winter to play in the snow. :D

There is a place in Flag that my parents used to take us to. It is called Fort Tuthill. It was just for Military back then. But It is now open to the public. You can rent cabins, A-frames, or stay at thier hotel. It is nestled back in the woods. You might want to look into it.

My summer begins in 4.5 school days. I can't wait! They took up textbooks two days ago. Since then the kids have been terrible. I can't really blame them though. They want a break as much as I do.

Unfortunately I don't have many plans for the summer quite yet. Just going to relax and spend ime working on the yard. I was hoping to be able to visit my dad in Florida but since hubby got a job I doubt that will happen. It is kind of hard to ask for a week or two off when you have only been employed a month.

Death Valley was nice, but the drive to get there..(I went from Las Vegas) I thought i would see more. thre was only three of us on the tour, driving back to the hotel I saw Joshua trees, and the Red Rocks..

The drive from Las Vegas to the grand canyon was insane too. Took something like four hours.

I am going away with my boyfriend for 2 weeks. We will drive to Italy, on the way stop at his parents place in Switzerland spend a couple of days there. Then on to Tuscany in Italy for a week, to a little fishermans village :)
On the way back we will hopefully stop at a theme park and his parents place again.

Cant wait! Sun, beach, cocktails :D

PS & I will be working this summer but PBBB will be attending Duke Uni in NC for 20 days in July. It's her first camp, her first flight and her first time spending that many days away... We're excited for her.

I will strive to not worry about her the whole time she's gone :willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly::24: Methinks my baby is gonna come back just a bit more grown up......:cool

She'll be 13 by then. She's totally excited. :nanajig:

I think she'll be fine too. My hubby will help to keep my irrational fears in check.:24:

my family and I usually will all coordinate to have the second or third week of August off. Generally, we take day trips and go to different places every day of the week off. In past years, my family and I went to Howe's Caverns, Cooperstown, a boat ride up and down the Erie Canal, a dinner cruise up and down Lake George, a "train robbery" through the Adirondack mountains and trips to Turning Stone Casino, the Saratoga Racetrack and the Racino at Saratoga. Not sure what is on the agenda this year other than definite trips to Lake George, the Racetrack and the Racino...

I know next year we all want to coordinate to go to Canada, possibly for 2 weeks. The biggest problem with that is that we all have to be on the same page as far as getting passports...sucks to say, but I have never been out of the United States...so whoever decides to screw things up will screw it up for all of us...should be interesting to say the least to see how that all turns out by this time next year...
