what was the wage when you first started working???

my first job was at mcdonalds back in 1990 and i was paid $3.80 and hour

I'm not sure because I didn't really have a job that paid by the hour until I went to work on the farm in Kentucky. When I started there in 1998 minimum wage (which is what I was paid) was $4.25. I haven't worked for minimum wage since.

Mid-70's it had just gone from $1.50 to $1.65/hour.

I was paid something like £4 an hour in 2003. Bloody awful pay and I had to make it back by stealing off them.

Walrats bought out old Medi Mart (here in the Northeast they were owned by Stop and Shop) and for one day I was a Medi Mart employee then we all were Wal-rats....lol

I got 3.50 an hour to deliver/courier these small office materials from this big warehouse in Manchester to offices around Manchester. Just worked Saturdays because I was only 15 at the time. Plus I got tips from the office people where I went. Got bored of it after like 5 weeks so I collected my final pay and quit.

My first job where I punched a time clock was at a greenhouse. I worked the entire weekend 12 hours + per day plus several hours on Friday. I was working in the greenhouse and loading trucks. After the weekend they offered me a job working part time. I declined it. After working almost 30 hours my check after taxes was $32.

I worked as non -licensed staff in 1991 @ $ 16.85/hour. After i got licensed in 6 months, earned $26.85/hour

I believe minimum wage when I started working was $5.15. I've never made minimum wage tho. My first job I had I started at $6.50. Not much better, but for a 14 year old working at A & W it was awesome lol.

$7.15 when I got my first job five years ago. Now it's $7.25 I believe.
