We had the AC on last night, and my throat is kind of raw feeling, but also kind of mucus-y feeling (which is really gross!) and I can't get anything out. Every breath is nauseating because of how my throat feels. I've been drinking water, had some sweet tea, some coffee, and have eaten a couple times today, but none of it has helped.

Any advice?

I think you might be experiencing an allergy.. It could be to a number of things, like pollen, mold, dust, etc..
Try an over the counter allergy medication, like Sudafed, or an antihistamine like Benadryl.

Also, clean your AC filter.. if it can be washed, do it by hand, and use dish or laundry detergent... Add some bleach to the water to kill any mold you might have in the filter..
Make sure it is completely dry before installing it again..
If you have a window unit, vacuum the fins on the AC and everything around it..

For your throat, try a teaspoon of honey and some hard candy.. Chicken soup and broth is very good also.

Hope you feel better soon.. ♥

Did someone say ice cream? Trying to picture someone gargling ice cream :sarcasm

In all seriousness - Everything I would have recommended has already been said. Hopefully at least one of the ideas work and you get to feeling better soon!!!

They just changed the air filter yesterday, and while I felt fine going to bed, I feel awful again. Maybe just a cold? I took some guaifenesin and that seems to be helping.

No. :(

I think I'm just sick.

I do have ONE tea bag for hot tea. It's gross though. I might be able to sweeten it up and be fine.

Ooh! I have some instant apple cider type stuff that's not bad. Would that work?
