I am most likely the last person to comment on your post but I feel that way and I have only been here less then a month.
This site seems to be oldest and possibility one of the biggest.
Older doesn't seem to matter much but bigger is not always a good thing.
I started a thread a day or two ago asking basically how long does one have to be here to be accepted.
The answers I received were very good and all made sense.
One member even went a little further and " befriended " me, I was impressed.
I wouldn't do anything different because to do so , it wouldn't be the real you would it.
I don't know the bad guys from the good guys in here but I'm sure I'll will in time.
So Willow I suggest you keep on " keeping on ".
It would seem that you have done all the right things, it now falls on others to be more outgoing with you
One thing I think is very important is if someone takes the time to reply to your thread/post, you should make sure that you reply to theirs unless its something stupid.
And to be honest with you, that is one of the reasons I posted my thread.
Seems like at times I'm invisible.
I rest my case......
Hello
You might have some competition for that title here.:lol In all my years on this earth, this is the first time anyone has said that to me!!.. If you only knew me!...
Have you seen my posts full of smileys?..
I had my own title in a forum I used to mod.. given to me by the owner.. Most of the time it was "The Smiley Queen Moderator"... but there were times when she would change it to "The Crazy Smiley Queen"..
Life is serious enough... If I can't have fun in a forum, I consider my time wasted..![]()

Heck, I've been here for quite a while now and I feel ignored sometimes too, doesn't bother me though, a lot of threads and a lot of posts are made every day, people don't respond to everything they see, it's rare for even long time members to have a really successful thread. Oh and I much prefer you over the obnoxious shit stirrers any day![]()
I get ignored here (which is why I have a thread of me talking to myself that's over 100 pages long :ninja), I get ignored at my hockey forums, I get ignored at my model horse forum. It just happens. Whoopee. I guess I'm used to blending in so it doesn't bother me. :dunno I will also admit to ignoring a lot of the less established posters here. It has less to do with how much I like someone and more to do with me just being awkward and not knowing what to say to someone I don't know well. :ninja
LOL! It's in the Complex. You need a password for access. PM a mod if you want it.Where is that thread?... Hope it's not on VIP, because at the rate I'm going, I'll be 100 years old before I can get there..
I should start something like that, so we can blend in, and ignore each other... together..
I like you.

I don't always have a lot of time to post so I just tend to look at any threads where the title sounds interesting, I never look at who started it or anything like that. I also tend to skim read many threads which I then think "I'll reply to that later/tomorrow when I have more time" but then I just forget lol.
...Just like you Willow, I am hoping its gonna be a lot friendlier here and less drama, fighting, sarcasm and antagonism as we have seen so much of it ..![]()
**********I like her a lot too  and I am learning a lot from her. She had become of my my bestest buddies here @ OTz and is one reason why I am sticking here too despite I have the same feeling as her.
We had been both thinking to give up and leave Otz. But we're giving it our 2nd look with fresh set of eyes and maybe should include more heart eh?Maybe it will work :ninja

I find it interesting that some of the more popular members have come in this thread saying they understand and feel the same way.
I must admit that at times I have felt invisible too. But then I realize that I don't respond to a lot of posts, what makes me think people are going to respond to mine? Just because people don't respond, doesn't mean they don't read and enjoy what you say.
I think it is a feeling almost everyone get sometimes ..
There are times i feel best is not to write anything, maybe others don't like what i write, or don't like me..mostly i feel ignored...
but then again i think stupid lol maybe it is me and others around me act this way because am not very well communicating with others i mostly put short answers and do not quote a lot to make conversations on the forum ..
i keep a distance myself even i talk a lot here ..
also if you not active a lot there is not much chance other members to get to know you ..

I just wanted to thank you for bringing this topic up. It's something that we've had complaints on from several new members and, although it's been discussed before by the mods, I think a lot of people brushed it off as it coming from the staff and not actual new members. This was one of the main reasons we started the "Get to know your mods" section.
The only way to solve these problems is to get them out in the open and talk about them. While I understand members being cautious about new members due to some of the problems w/ have w/ trolls, there IS a difference in being cautious and just being an outright ass to new members. THAT is what needs to be worked on.
