I have been asked to help coach cheerleading next year. :24: I find it hilarious just because I am the biggest nerd ever. There is no way in hell I could have ever been a cheerleader when I was in school so to think of myself coaching it just seems absurd. The current cheerleading coach is wanting to slowly retire from it and they want to start getting a replacement set up. Somehow my name came up in this discussion.

I haven't decided what to do yet. I have been wanting to take on more responsibilities at school and the pay increase would be lovely. With the current anti-teacher climate, it might be nice to have an additional skill for job security reasons. I just don't know if I would be any good at it! Now math team or forensics sponsor...now that is something I would be good at....

I'm a woman and I agree w/you :ninja

Try it Boomie. Ya might like it.

Give em an example of what brains & looks looks like.

Forgive me if I've offended any cheerleaders here by equating they don't have many brains. I'm sure some do. Just none of the ones I went to high school with oh so long ago....

Go Boomie :cheerleader: Go Boomie :cheerleader: Go Boomie :cheerleader:

Okay...you and PJ are cracking me up.

Only 7th and 8th grade students are allowed to be cheerleaders. I teach 6th. But what I love about the coach is that she only picks good, well rounded girls that have good grades. A lot of her cheerleaders now were some of my favorite girls when they were in my class!
