Tornado watch

LOL, stupid is right! :ninja I had stayed at a hotel for night somewhere in Iowa and when I got up the next morning they were saying on the radio how there had been a system that came through over night that flipped semis and such and there was another one on the way. I said "meh" and carried on. I met up with it a bit later and it was horrid. At one point it hailed and I pulled over under an underpass so my car wouldn't get destroyed. Periodically it would rain so hard that I couldn't see a thing and one time the only reason I stayed on the road was because there was a car in front of me and I followed the tail lights. Stupid system hounded me all the way to Mt. Vernon where I turned onto the I-64. I was clear of it there but it followed me to Lexington. I got there later that afternoon and in the evening/overnight we had a wicked thunderstorm with funnel clouds and such. I was a stubborn ass to have driven through that. Good times. T'was around mid-April too.

Northwest of us at the moment:

I do not like bad weather..... heavy rains and thunder and lightening have me hiding under the covers..... a tornado watch/warning tips the scales to full fear mode.

Glad you were safe, Thornykins....

Indeed  Roxi & StickBoy are somewhere in TN heading North as we speak. They'll be driving right through all that weather unless they decide to have a nice long breakfast somewhere.

ThePriests need to meet up with TheSticks :

Would love to meet them but I think we prolly missed them!

I woke at 1:40AM up to rain pounding on my window and sirens. It was not a pleasant experience. Especially since it took me forever to fall back asleep. :thumbdown

Glad you guys are ok Thorny and Bruj. *hugs*

Glad you are ok too *hugs*. Was a pain falling back asleep... we got all the sirens up here but not the hardly the amount or power of rain everyone else had

We live. We missed driving into the storm but got a cool light show this morning going over the mountains in I think it was Kentucky.

Love the show that a hea y storm leaves in its wake... like the world doesn't quite want to let go of the excitement. Glad you didn't have to drive through that!
