3 bedrooms going for $1250.00 / month in my area in the burbs. Vancouver average listed in link below as highest in Canada in 2008 + 2009 ( only links I could really find that were reputable )..

:dunno I'm casually looking for a 2-bedroom right now because I want/need to upgrade my living space and it's not uncommon for me to see ads for $1200/month. I haven't checked any out so I don't know if a brick of gold is included or not. :p

A 2 bedroom flat where I live is around £650-£750 per month. So that's $1064.31-$1228.05 per month.

A 1 bedroom flat is roughly £500 or $818.7 per month.

I guess I just find that crazy. Granted, I live in the boonies so I don't pay nearly as much as I would if I lived in the city. But for my mortgage and all my bills on my small dream home I pay about $900 a month. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fenced in yard and a garage.

I guess you take the good with the bad. I have a long drive to and from work everyday and it sucks. But if I tried to get the same house in the city I would pay tons more a month and probably still not be able to afford a safe, quiet neighborhood.

I know. I find it crazy too. That's why I still live in my little cubby hole. :surrenderI'd give my left nut for a garage, especially in winter. :ninja
