OMG! Baby squirrel abuse...

What a BRAVE man:rolleyes:

I heard about this story a couple days ago. I find it funny how people are so outraged over this lol.

Why? Are your squirrels maneaters, and he was protecting himself and the children? Were the kids in danger?

Genuine questions, ARE they vicious and dangerous? I wouldnt have a clue:dunno

I saw it on CNN as well so it isn't exclusive to Fox.

Now on to your question. Squirrels aren't vicious at all. It was a baby and as such they are very curious. We've had them come up on our deck quite often. Matter of fact they come right up to our feet and scurry around. The cop was an asshole plain and simple.

Rabid squirrels should be easily identified.

Have you ever seen a rabid animal? I have and it didn't act like that squirrel did. A fox it was and it attacked the house... it attacked the down spouts then made it's way into the barn and on it's way it attacked the truck. Once it went into the barn it tried to chew anything it could get after. The fox lost due to a pitchfork in the side of his belly and the farm was quarantined for a few months. So ya... a rabid squirrel would be easy to identify.

By some people they are. Squirrels lovers don't think so and I happen to be one. We have loads of them on our yard and they are a hoot to watch especially in the fall when they are stocking up for the winter.

Sure they are cute to watch. Its nice people feed them too until someone get bitten by one.
Anyone ever have rabies shots ? They are not a hoot, they are not fun.
Not saying run out and kill all squirrels but they have their space and I try to stay out of it.
