Why, Why, Why!!!!

Why can't people just say what they mean ?
If something bothers you about something and they ask, why can't you tell them ?
If you don't want to do something, why the hell do you do it anyways ?
If something is none of anyone's else's business, can you not tell them that ?
It would seem that lots of us take the road of less resistance in dealing with other other.
But does that really solve the problem ?
Does IT REALLY MATTER that much that others approve you you or think your soooooooo cool ?
If something is none of your business, I'll tell you.
If something bothers me about you and you ask, I'll tell you.
If I don't want to do something, I won't.
And if I don't like you, believe me I'll tell you.:thumbup

I've been known to say exactly what I mean and let me tell you, it's not what most people want...lol. People ASK for your opinion, but they don't really want it... what they really want is to hear their own opinion from the lips of others......reassurance maybe? Personally, I tend to respect those who express their OWN opinions rather than merely mimicing other peoples, there's something to be said for originality......and that's MY opinion. Thank you.

Well two standards I try to live by are simply....Don't ask me a question if you think you won't like my answer and don't ask me for my honest opinion because that is what you'll get.:cool

I think I'm capable of using common sense....I wouldn't tell my boss that he's ugly or stupid and I wouldnt tell my neighbor that her ass is too big....but I would, if asked, give my own opinon on a subject rather than just follow the most popuar opinion.

Above all else, don't get angry with somebody for having a different opinion than your own. Some of my bestest friends are people who I can argue with about certain matters that we disagree on...but still remain friends. We just end up agreeing to disagree, that's all.

Your right but your answer goes both ways.
I never get mad at anothers opinion but best they never get mad at me because I also have a opinion.
I try to refrain from ever stating a opinion just so I can get along with others if I don't feel that way.
Yes there are times when it may be needed to be done but I usually ask them and ask " do you really want my HONEST opinion because you won't like it ? "
Once I ask that most people would then back off.

HOW long have you been here?...lol...stick around:24:

Because you can't always just do that, you need to use a bit of tact to get through everyday life or else you would probably end up jobless, homeless and all alone!!

Your right to a point.
I believe if someone respects you, one could state your opinion and the key word is tact.
I have attended courses where they teach that type of tact and I'm doing fine.
Respect and tact are the two key words when stating one's opinion.

I think it depends on the situation tbh I mean it's easy on a forum say for example, as that's what they're for ..........opinions. In real life you have to tread more carefully I think, I usually go case by case

That's using common sense....which is something we all understand. I see your point. But I wouldn't change my own opinion or be afraid to express for fear of being ridiculed....that's just who I am. Like I said, common sense allows me to tell the difference between the two.

In everyday life its a case by case thing.
Not really one size fits all answer.
But I think I try to use a " rule of thumb " in my dealings.
In places like here, one can be whatever one wants to be.
Myself, the way I am and act like in here is pretty much the way I act in the real world.
Others can't make that claim.
On the net they form a personality that often is totally different then their real self.
I try to maintain a " what you see is what I am " profile.:cool

well, I've never met anyone from forums in real life so I couldn't really say whether people are "fake" or different to what they are like in r/l. I can only say that I'm pretty much the same online as I am in real life

I have met two people from the net.
One was nothing like their online persona, the other was " spot on ".
Both were " we are passing through " meetings, a bite to eat, some interesting chat and they continued on their journey.
I still keep in touch today with one couple.
