Toes in the water...

I'm going out hoofing it today.

I have a really good feeling. The weather is a little better, I got another hole tighter on my belt (and apparently lost 6 pounds this week) so that boosted my spirits.

And I've been singing "Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day, I've got a wonderful feeling, everything's going my way" over and over this morning.

Hopefully something will pan out today. My goal is to talk to at least three people in charge of hiring. It's a start, right? Who knows, maybe I'll get a job today.

I went and was told to print the app out from online and bring it in so we could sit down. So I came straight home and did it, and went right back. Maybe a thirty minute gap?

He was surprised to see me back, and sat down with me. He asked if I had any experience serving, and I said no, but that I learned quick and thought I had the personality for it and that personality was what kept people coming back. He looked up at me, smiled and said you are exactly right.

So I'm going in Monday for a formal interview and some role play situations. I feel really really confident about this. :D

TGIFriday's

I've never had a bad experience eating there, everyone is always upbeat, and the two managers I talked to today were very personable.

Lots of good luck to you sweetie!.. ♥

TGIF is a nice place to work..
It's not difficult once you learn how to carry a whole bunch of dishes with one arm.. and if they use trays, it's easier!..
They will probably make you "trail" someone for a couple of weeks and then you'll be on your own..
I wish I was closer to you.. I'd have you trained in an hour..

I don't even see servers at chain restaurants carrying trays anymore. Most of them bring out 2-3 plates, than go back for the rest.
