and people say weed isn't addictive...

a guy I went to school with posted this on his Facebook.

"Officially one week now without pot!!! I have managed to eat the past 3 days now (which includes today). Still have some mood swings to deal with but overall doing great!!! Thanks support team!!!"

Which makes me think there was an addictive nature involved. I'm glad i don't do any sort of drug except alcohol.

It affects people differently. And Dana, alcohol is every bit as addictive as weed can be. It just depends on your personality type, and whether or not you have a proclivity towards addictive behavior.

It's the same thing with other stuff... fast food, caffeine, coffee, anything that your body is used to doing on a regular basis.

It's not physically addictive, but as with pretty much anything you can develop a psychological addiction.

You could get addicted to mars bars if the right set of circumstances combined, that doesn't make the product actually addictive in itself.

Its actually not nearly as addictive as cigs and alcohol.

Its because a lot of smokers add tobacco to the weed and that causes the "addiction"

I read that somewhere, and it makes sense to me.

Does that make it easier or harder?
Speaking for myself .... I used to smoke tons of the stuff on a daily basis. The last time I did it was the night of my stag and that was about 30 years ago. It didn't bother me one way or the other when I packed it in. I haven't had any desire whatsoever to smoke it since but I'd light up in a heartbeat if they legalized it.

Im agreeing with you alot lately. I, sadly to admit, have an extremely addictive personality. If I like something I tend to need to conscientiously monitor myself. Course, to be quite honest, quitting weed ( way back when) was worlds easier than quitting cigs or even lowering my soda intake!
