More bugs! Isn't spring great? I did put a request in for the patio door to be fixed- nothing is sealed around here.

Anyhow, this dude flies in somehow and then slammed against the glass. He was kind of traingular, with tan and black, maybe striped? but mostly tan. Definitely a flier. No clue on legs. i wasn't looking THAT close. He did have a white belly though.

This was well before sun down, so I don't think it was a light seeking bug.

Any clues?

My computer connection is acting up, so I can't post pictures, but I think you might have just encountered a "Stink or Soldier Bug"..
I think I mentioned that in one of my previous posts here..

Look here:
http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/brown-marmorated-stink-bug

They started appearing a few years ago. They came from China, and the first infestation was recorded in Pa..
They are spreading very fast and invading houses like wildfire!.. :(
I can't stand them!. They are extremely difficult to get rid of..

If the bug you saw is this one, do not try to kill it.. the smell is horrid and stays forever.
They release it from their belly -which is very light or white, like you described-..
Also, do not vacuum them, because the smell will stay inside your vacuum!.. :eek

They don't bite, so you can wait until they set somewhere, pick them up with a paper napkin or tissue and throw the whole thing outside.. open the paper, ans it will fly or walk away.. then you can bring your napkin or tissue inside and dispose of it in the trash..

Here is another link to look for bugs:

Have fun!.. :D

That was him!

I totally (tried to) squished it. But I must not have done a good job, 'cause he didn't stink. He's currently folded up in a paper towels with hubby's shoes stacked one on the other on top of it.

:lol You definitely would not be able to live where I do!.. Why didn't you flush him down the toilet???... :lol :lol

Read the links I gave you, so you will be prepared to fight them... They seem to come from nowhere, even if you seal everything tight.
They are so noisy when they fly, I can hear them from another room..
The worst is when I don't hear them, and they land on my head!!.. :eek :yuk :yuk
