Suicidal attempts (among Bipolar, Borderline, Anti-social personality disorder patients) through cutting oneself/strangling and insertion or swallowing of foreign objects into skin or orifices are at it's peak of cycling. Lots of blood loss......Dialectical behavioral training to these patients seem useless and the hospital becoming a revolving door. Incentives given seems to becoming a form of bribery. They're smart enough to find means and ways to manipulate situations and come up with new tactics to gain attention and get what they want...... Tsk tsk

Phew...doesn't sound like fun. Rather like wanting to shake such people who just want to gain attention.. ;-/

My schedule is the same as always. No work on Monday, Wed, or Sat.

Phew...doesn't sound like fun. Rather like wanting to shake such people who just want to gain attention.. ;-/

I have lots of Fun with my patients esp those who try hard despite their struggles to help themselves and the staff sees the improvements in them. The attention seekers thru those negative methods are the quite annoying ones. It's still manageable most of the time of course given we dont show them they're able to push our buttons. I hope that makes sense. Behavioral management is i think so abstract, it's quite hard to explain without actually being in such an environment. But I love my patients, nonetheless

My schedule is the same as always. No work on Monday, Wed, or Sat.
