Have u ever called someone at the EXACT WRONG TIME?

Woah! I called my hubby to ask if he knew where the Iron and Ironing board was. I want to wear a special outfit for St. Patty's day.

He growled at me and told me why he was in such a foul mood. He was 1 minute late for work. He was suppose to be there at 6:27 am and he got there at 6:28 am. So he was told to see the supervisor, got a formal letter of complaint and was told to meet the bus he was suppose to be driving at a certain stop and take over.

This policy doesn't really make sense, in that, if a driver is EARLY to a bus stop he can and will get in instant trouble if he doesn't wait until he's suppose to be leaving. Makes sense passengers have to be able to rely on buses being on time or later not EARLY.

But if he had just gotten on the bus and driven it as per usual he still would be on time. They allow a lot of extra time and Joe never has trouble keeping up.

BUT, I am the type that is always early. When Joe comes to pick me up for lunch I get impatient if it's not before the time (when he's not working) or on time. I don't say anything, because I'm the unreasonable one, but part of me is shredding my tongue not saying you need to be EARLY.

Okay, I've blown off the words I bit back from Joe and now I can be the cheerleading, sympathetic wife I need to when I get home. :D

Yeah here a bus cannot leave early, according to the time on the bus stop. Take the one near me, it comes every hour from 7am-6pm, but has to leave exactly on the hour. Unless it's late, which generally buses can't help, it might be traffic, which given this buses route, happens often, but it cannot under any circumstance leave early. It only takes one complaint from someone and the driver would be investigated. A driver told me once.

Oh they don't stop at every bus stop, unless it's like a station, or a checkpoint stop. The Bus near me has 2 checkpoints so to speak and the bus station on it's route. It gets more difficult with the longer distances I reckon.

Yeah my dad is a driver and he's told me and after 7pm (or when it gets dark) a bus driver HAS to take women and children even if they don't have the correct fare. Sadly some drivers are cunts and just go early anyway. Yesterday a bus came a whole 5 minutes early when they have 2 check points (one just before my bus stop). Some of the drivers here go early so they can get to the bus station early and have cigarette. I used to go and complain but it makes NO difference.

It does in some cases Ab. And the buses have cars that randomly follow busses to see if they are on time, NOT leaving early, stopping when and where they should etc.

There have been drivers removed for repeated violations. Maybe it depends on the city the bus company is in....

Yeah. I called my friend to check if she would like to come w/ us to the beach.. I didn't know she was in the middle of auditioning for a theatre guild in school.. Her phone kept on ringing so the screeners told her to just answer my bugging call. Haha!

To my irritation I really hate that policy that has come in London buses over the last few years, but can see the authorities point, you can get some drivers that don't want to pick up people on their run...most of the passengers use things called oyster cards which is basically pre-paid credit
