Aaaah! Now it's coming back to me! I think you're right!

zirc? Wasn't that when I had actually cast a vote for HK and then changed my vote, or was that another time?

Sorry HK, but I did do that. :p What caused me to change it was fear of the wrath of Siph, :24:
No, that was another time. When Tangerine got voted off you were sure of your strategy when you voted Boomerang. I think. That's how I remember it.

(Sorry, wasn't ignoring you. I didn't see that post. :ninja)

I didn't read through all of this thread, but I wanted to give MAJOR kudos to Zirc! Girl! This was a creative idea to get the forum involved and it took a lot of work on your part! Hopefully this won't keep you from coming up with other ideas to bring some more excitement to the board!

GdW as a big fan of the show Survivor I absolutely LOVE that you actually worked it with the alliances. I don't know all the behind the scenes scheming or if there was any but from what I read I really felt it was very close to the actual show. :) I would have been making alliances left and right lol.

All others it's kickass you stuck this out! I'm sure above all you enjoyed the game and how different this was compared to other forum games that have been played.

That is all.

I will now attempt to read the rest of this thread lol.

I never recall either of us saying "I won't write your name down". What I have are the PMs we exchanged where we both said "You and I in the final two." THAT is an alliance. In my mind, you clearly DID betray our agreement. I had absolutely no idea anyone was voting for me. You did. If the roles had been reversed, I not only would have warned you, I would have fiercely campaigned to attempt to get at least one other person's vote to change.

Like you warned me? ;):sarcasm

And for the record, while I applaud Zirc for all of the hard work that she put into this game.. and it WAS a game and nothing more, I can't help but notice it seems to have had a lasting effect. What I believe was intended to get more members active and having fun in the wake of all of the "new rules" upheaval, it looks like it may have had the opposite effect. Take a look at the list of members who participated, and notice how many of them are noticeably absent from OTz now. Sad, really.

Were you and I ever in an alliance? No.

Thought that's what "keep all the original spartans" in until the merge meant, was your suggestion during the swap.

Anywho, I had fun playing and have no hard feelings toward anyone.

People took it too personally, that's their own fault.

I have been busy myself, with the death of my grandpa, abd being sick twice afterward. Now I played catch up with work.

Can't speak for others, but I've been watching from shadows. :ninja

It may appear that I took it personally, but, I didn't. I did fade some heat at the end, and that was uncomfortable, but I guess it could be said that I had it coming? :p

We're in the throes of 13 year old travel baseball, so my time is very limited.

Kudo's again, to Mz. Probst for being an awesome host!

I love all of you. :)

Life is much too short for hard feelings.

No that was a strategy. And one that few others bothered to follow through with, seeing how they immediately began attempting to vote off their fellow Spartans, starting with me. If we HAD managed to follow that tried-and-true Survivor game plan, things may have worked out VERY differently.

An alliance is a private conversation where two or more people make a specific agreement for a specific length of time. I had two of those during different parts of the game, both didn't work out too well for me.

I've recieved (mostly) positive feedback for this game. I've been thinking about what HK suggested somewhere about doing a similar game but instead of voting people off, the last place person in the challenge would be eliminated. So I've been toying with the idea of running an Amazing Race type game. People would sign up in pairs, we'd do a series of challenges and the last place team in each challenge would be eliminated until a winner was determined. Or something like that. I've only watched the Amazing Race a few times so I'm not as familiar with it as I am with Survivor. Would there be any interest in something like that?

Sounds like fun :)

Not sure about the pairs part, only because it seemed like you had a decent number sign up for Survivor but at least three people that I remember just disappeared at various stages of the game, and that'd suck if their partner actually wanted to play. But I've never seen the Amazing Race either so maybe there's a way round that.

I wouldn't choose the pairs. You would sign up with any partner you wanted. If your partner quits on you, that's your problem. :p

The Amazing Race is a fantastic series. I'm slowly (very slowly) catching up with that given the many seasons it has. That has its own share of intrigue but nothing like Survivor. At least it's wholly dependent ultimately on how well the pair work together.

The positives seems good, I'm just wondering if the in-pair moaning and bitching that sometimes happens on the show would translate to here as well.
