interesting thing was this,its called silver-washed because of the silver underwing,which i've yet to get a decent picture of

when i was in devon i was over-joyed to see and get pictures of this,i'd nevver seen one before...only to discover that theres a thriving colony only 7 miles away

this is an unusual butterfly because it lays its eggs in the bark of oak trees and not on food plants
