Which one? I still can't get the temperature right on the Awakening potion. I think the whole thing is fixed. :mad

It's the Sleeping Draught, I looked up which potions give the most points and this one gives eleven, but the last stage of brewing it is ridiculously closely timed - if you pause for anything then you'll run out of time :(

For temperatures, I found you have to sit there waiting for it to go green, then play with the blue and yellow switches to keep it within the gold bars. Tricky as hell, I hate it.

Yeah, and I DO that. For 30 seconds according to the instructions. Now one thing I thought of...do you have to maintain that temperature until you wave your wand as well? Because once the 30 seconds is done then I just turn the flame off.

Not that I know of, it'd be damn near impossible on some of them! I just turn the flame off too.

I think sometimes it just throws up random fails, because I did one yesterday that I know was fucking perfect, and it said 'oh you put the valerian sprig in the wrong container' and I'm like 'what?! no I bloody didn't!' :24:

Holy crap!!! I made it to the brewing stage!! thmad.png

I finally figured out my problem. To save time I was crushing the stuff in the mortar while I was heating the stuff in the cauldron. This is bad because the mortar instructions are listed after the cauldron instructions. :ninja Bad zirc for trying to cut corners. :ninja

Aha! Yeah I thought I could save time with stuff like that. Bastards.

I did find if you know you've fucked up and want to avoid ruining your cauldron, you can just click the back button and it'll forget you did anything, but will remember that you started the potion. So if you're on the second stage and don't want to lose an hours brewing, click back and it'll forget you'd started the second part at all.

Yeah, I discovered that in a fit of rage the other day. :ninja So it works on the second stage too? Good to know. :ninja:thumbup

Lol! I'm doing them while I wait for my potion to brew, I can't do it with a keyboard but I can manage with a mouse :p ish.

Do you get people trying to offer strategies in the common room? In Ravenclaw we're split into people who think we should duel Hufflepuffs and increase the gap between us, and people who think we should duel Gryffindor to try and catch them up. I'm going for Gryffindors :D

I think some of them give more points than others. I'm doing the full body bind one a lot, the most I've gotten off that is about 143.

Seems a bit stupid having spells that do different levels of damage, if you do one that only goes up to say 120 and mine can go up to 140, it's not very fair.
