Sparked by this quote I saw on Pinterest about how the most precious thing a woman can give you is her heart, yada yada don't expect too much from her blah blah she has given you the most amazing gift etc etc. I know it's meant to be romantic and all that but I'd really sort of like to be treated like a human being, not an ethereal goddess who you should be grateful has bestowed her attentions upon you, oh lowly mortal.

Can I just say. Electric blankets are the best thing in the whole world, apart from possibly having a decently heated house in the first place.

But you're right, they are. Nothing like snuggling under one...I never want to move, lol.

My house is a bit rubbish in that regard, we have one storage heater for the entire open plan downstairs and bedroom (which is also open). And we have a high ceiling, which happens to have holes in it where previous tenants have hung lights, so heat just escapes.

We have a tumble dryer in the conservatory and when it's on we leave the door open so it steams up the whole house :p

High ceilings are the devil when it comes to heating...and holes and brrrrrr.

Hope you don't have to move out from under that electric blanket!!

Lovely quiet day today :) actually this week has been pretty nice in general so far. Hopefully getting some good news towards the end of the week, boyfriend has his first day of training tomorrow, and my mum is taking me to get another deep tissue massage on Saturday.... which I love so much, even though I could easily fall asleep while the lady does it :p

On a less awesome note, I think my boss is being a dick for no reason. Which isn't news at all :p


He keeps getting his sales protege to send me bits and pieces to do, like changing the name of a contact on our sales system. She could easily do it herself, in the time it takes for her to send me the email in the first place, but noooo. And it's not her fault, she's lovely - he's just told her to do it.


I know he reads all our emails though, so I made a point in my email back to her of saying today is a quiet day but I'd let her know if I was too busy in the future to do it. Wanker.

Is it bad that I'm sort of hoping my boyfriend ends up doing some of the late afternoon shifts at this job?


If he does the morning or early afternoon ones then he'll still be home before me, and I hate cleaning up the house when there's someone else around.


I may have to take some time off, just so I can have a bit of time alone to tidy up!
