When the gas prices starting climbing..... so did heating costs for the home. I only have propane as a choice out here in the boonies. That's why we put in a woodburning stove and now heat the house strictly with wood. I still use propane for the stove, dryer, and water heater.

Strange thing about the price of wood.... It's the same cost for a facecord in this area as it was 20 years ago! I guess nobody owns trees yet as far as governments.

we are down to like half a cord here and was hoping we wouldn't see old man winter....might have to buy another cord....ugh....

we were thinking about a coal burning stove for a while, but we like the fireplace...plus cleaning coal is such a pain

I heard today it's 5 dollars in Illinois. Unsure about that... but still, how are your prices looking? Last I checked it was 2.98 for regular here.
I dont know if its that high yet in IL....but many people drive across the border to fill up..and many businesses also have the employees do the same for vehicles.
IL has always been a taxer
If you want to see a great little city though stop in Quincy if you ever get the chance...just fill er up in MO

15 a gallon peter, really? Nuts. I'd invest in a bike and set up car pools.

Quincy.. I'll remember that lol. I haven't been to IL yet.
