Fantasy Baseball 2011 League- Now Accepting Applications!!

Yes, it is that time of year!

We are forming a Fantasy Baseball league for OTz this season.

We are very much a newb friendly league. One of our players has never even seen a game. Starting next week, a Baseball 101 thread will start to bring everybody up to speed before the season starts. Plus, our more experienced players will make sure that a veteran doesn't try to shaft a poor newb. On the other hand, if you ARE a vet and are silly enough to trade your star pitcher for a utility infielder... well, that's your own fault.

It is a Draft league with both leagues. The draft is March 20 at 2P EDT.

We are looking at having a 12-team league and currently have 3 open spots.

Only requirement to joining is 500 posts. The reason for this is to try and limit the possibility of "abandoned teams".

Actually, you ladies have an advantage over us.

We see players and teams as people. I'm prone to lean towards taking an Atlanta Brave. Others would be going for their favorite or childhood team. We'd be hesitant to trade or cut our favorite player. Emotion would, hell... WILL, play a factor.

You and Leah will see them as a collection of numbers. As simple commodities to be bought and sold.

That's how she killed 10 other players in Fantasy Football.

:thumbup I'm hoping that will work out for me this time around. I don't watch baseball, never really have. And never will. It'll be interesting to say the least.
