Yes I have heard about it. We were watching the national news last night and it was the lead story and they kept going back to it to tell us updates during the news cast.

This is terrible news. My friend is in NZ at the moment and so I was so worried when I turned the news on yesterday morning only to hear about the earthquake but I'd missed them saying where in NZ it was. Luckily she is in another area.
