What a day

Today was absolutely wonderful. I feel blessed in so many ways.

I woke up early and got ready. I was going to meet my mom and we were going to go shopping and grab some lunch. I loved spending time with her and I even got some great deals. I got a spice rack with 20 spices for the hubbub's apartment for $7, a shower radio for $4, and an awesome tea kettle for $6. Whoop whoop!

While looking at tv stands at Best Buy, out of the blue my grandmother calls me to tell me she is giving me....

wait for it

her old car! I can't even begin to tell you how surprised I was. Granted, it is an old school 1997 Toyota Camry, and it looks like a pimp/old lady car (it is white with a gold stripe, gold lettering, and a spoiler), but it only has 26,000 miles on it. She basically just used it to drive to church every Sunday. The car I am driving now has 129,000. It is still going strong but acts up more and more frequently. It will be nice to have spare vehicle for emergencies.

Then, when I got home, I was surprised to find that puppy hadn't pooped himself! I can pretty much count on him pooping his cage if I leave for over a couple of hours. Today I left him for about 6 hours and...no poop! It was a miracle.

All in all, it was a wonderful family filled, puppy poop free day. :D

How was your Saturday?

Sounds awesome

If ya are smart and can afford it take the car to a trusted mechanic.

It still is old and some things such as hoses and belts will rot.

As to the dog it might be getting old enough to hold it. My first dog drove me crazy pooping in the cage at night when young. I even made the cage smaller room wise inside as they are not supposed to poop where they sleep. I got so fed up I just said screw it and let it out of the cage. And except for one time it never pooped in the house again.

That's good news about the car!

Why is it that young puppies go in cages? A girl I used to work with had a pug puppy and he went in a cage too.

My saturday mainly involved having an extreme lie in, going to maplins to buy a new mouse, and then a really lazy day on the sofa :)

Oh yeah. Definitely plan to take it to someone to have them check it out. Sitting so much can do a lot of bad things to vehicles.

I wish I could just let puppy roam the house when I leave. He is good bout going in the kitchen if he has to go to the bathroom before I can take him outside. However, with him teething he chews on everything. I can't trust him to be anywhere by himself.

I haven't had to clean up a poopy cage since Wednesday. My mood has been loads better because of it. I am hoping it will happen less and less now that he is getting a bit older.

Thanks!

You mean why put him in a cage at all? Because if I don't he will literally chew everything to pieces. He is teething. He chewed a corner off of my dresser drawer when I wasn't watching him good enough. :( If I could take him everywhere with me I would but since that is not allowed, a cage is my only option.

A new mouse?! Pictures????

Ah I see. I always think of cats as being destructive with their little claws but I guess puppies have their own means! I thought it was to stop them being bothersome in the night and wanting to snuggle under the covers etc etc.

I think we're probably not on the same page here but you did ask :ninja

Oh I let puppy sleep with me. I like puppy nighttime snuggles.

:( Definitely not the kind of mouse I was hoping for. It is mighty nice though.

Oh...and you should totally be a hand model. :ninja

Oh gosh I'd love to have an animal in the house at night. MY boyfriend's mother is going on holiday in May and her cat is coming to stay with us. She's one of those snuggly cats you can pick up and do anything with, I'm hoping she'll come and sleep with us at night :)

I'm very happy with this mouse! Closest I'm getting to a real one though. I'm not very good with quick animals. I'm not scared, but I'm jumpy.

And thank you! Geez, that would be awesome. I read that hand models have to wear gloves at night or something to protect their hands.

Here it is! My new (to me) car. I am still getting used to driving it. My Focus is getting jealous.
