I fail to see how the Calgary Flames are in any way related to arachnophobia. :unsure:

I saw the first Spiderman. I don't remember there being any scenes with actual spiders in them apart from the one where Peter was first bitten. :dunno The movie was OK but it didn't really float my boat. I'm more of a Batman/Ironman girl anyway. :ninja

um.....you do know that flushing/washing spiders down the drain doesnt work right!? they fold their legs underthemselves creating an air pocket/bubble to float back up. so.....unless you killed it first, i wouldnt be surprised for a future visit

sorry! i found that out not too long ago myself. but i always just used half a can of RAID on them. good thing about having a kid.....you stay and watch it to make sure it doesnt go away, send kid to get the spray for you to kill!! i dont have a choice....i see a spider and i freeze

We had a huge bastard just turn up in the middle of the living room a couple of weeks ago. I hate how they do that, one minute everything is fine, and then all of a sudden there's a spider sitting there all nonchalant.

We trapped it and threw it outside but damn, it just makes me nervous that they'll be back in five minutes.

I did hear that if you put a conker in the corners of a room, spiders won't come in. I have no idea whether it works though.

the spiders we have where we live (next to the marsh) are freakin HUGE!! but they dont climb vertically. they like to hide under clothing that has been left on the floor. so its made laundry day a bit difficult for me cause after i sort all the clothes out on the floor in their designated piles, i have to put them all back up in the laundry basket! they also have the ability to jump a 6ft distance if they feel threatened

that and ive heard that big spiders like that travel in pairs. where there is one, there is another one near by :ninja:ninja:ninja

Ooh... I guess that doesn't translate! Okay... they grow on horse chestnut trees, and the tree drops a spiky green ball, and inside the ball when you split it open are normally two halves of a seed, which are shiny brown. The shiny brown parts, those are conkers
