I have never considered myself a tree hugger. Yesterday afternoon upon learning someone had poisoned the oak trees at Toomer's Corner on the campus of Auburn University I was physically ill, upset and angry. Healthy rivalries are good the hatred between Auburn and Alabama fans is anything but healthy.

Here is a story of an arrest with links to other information about Toomer's Corner. Toomer's Drug Store makes the best homemade lemonade and everyone goes to Toomer's Corner after games. In celebration of victories they roll the old Oak Trees.

I see him as someone so full of venom it poisoned his brain and he poisoned two 130 year old Oak trees which are central to most on campus celebrations. He lives less than 30 miles from campus.
