Very true. I'm glad the emo trend is dying down. I went to a concert in 04 and I swear to god, every single person was IDENTICAL. It freaked me out. I've never seen fads followed that religiously before.

Oh, grungy, I'm with ya.

nah the emo look is awesome I think. It's like a goth-lite. Diet goth. Sugar free goth.

I used to be a bit of a goth and I think the emos look much cooler these days.

Re: Radiohead

I think emo is less heavy than goth. Like, you can see those emo kids growing out of it and getting a job in telesales one day soon. Goth always seems a bit more permanent to me.

Nooo!! You're not emo but like the look?

I've had a few goth friends. Actually, that concert I talked about, I went with a goth. Lol, the emo kids stared. She went like this:

Except it went down to her cheek. And I just wore a white tank top and jeans. We looked so out of place lol.

Possibly. I knew plenty of goths who hung up their capes once they left uni and went looking for work too...

Emo really is a state of mind thing that's been hijacked into a major fashion concern... sad, but inevitable...

The video to Just has to be the best music video ever.:clap

No doubt one of their finer moments! Love it, such an awesome video!

You're handsome :thumbup

Lately though I think it's been less of the Emo trend happening than it has been the Scene trend.

my mother says that, I don't buy it (but thanks)

That's a pretty good point tho, Scene is really just about the fashion, but the whole point about being emo, is being emotional - it's a state of mind ... something that probably doesn't apply to most of the kids dressing that way these days.

Re: Radiohead

You are a cutie =]

Scene and emo (fashion fad emo) blend together for me. Used to, emo here was wearing tight black clothes and combing your hair over one eye. And scene was having funky colored hair with bows in it. Now I see them mixing the trends... I'm really not sure how to spot the difference.
emotional I'm okay with. As long as it's not "I lost my eyeliner! *slits wrist*' kind. That's just silly. The fashion fad is what bugs me.

Emos kids who show how non conformist they are by all dressing the same and listening to the same bands? Most of them that I've seen seem to revel in the misery and dispear of living in middle class suberbia and having everything including their clothes and CDs paid for by their parents. lol

The first one is one of my favorites lol. I wonder if he leaks saliva out of his piercings from time to time.

Yeah the trends are definitely mixing up somewhat, but the distinction is always that scene is purely a fashion statement (of what I'm not sure) and emo is a state of mind that's expressed through fashion... and self harm, if the media is to be believed....

I like emo love ;) :emo_love031

I'll wear my guyliner for you :ninja
