Words mean things.

Do you ever have to read something someone posts several times before it makes sense?

I was reading a post earlier on another forum and thought what poor wording.

"A boy my daughter had in her class had...."
"A boy in my daughter's class...."
Would sound better. Of course maybe her daughter did have the boy.:eek

Actually it was no one on this forum. I just end up trying to breakdown the sentence structure when someone adds a lot of unnecessary words. Maybe because I am a lousy typist, I am generally not very wordy. I will become "Yoda-ish" at times getting modifiers out of order.

The first one sounds to me like the daughter is a teacher and the boy was her student.
