Q: Should men hit women?

I dont believe in hitting women..that dont mean it couldn't happen given the right circumstances..there are some crazy bitches out there.

Several years ago I had a crazy bitch try to knife me..just caught a glimpse of it from the side coming in missed my eye by about 2 inches...I held her until she dropped the knife...she calmed down..later she tried to sucker me with a wooden pole..I restrained her again.

If it were to happen today I would break her leg and not think twice about it

There's a difference between domestic violence and defending yourself.

This guy went on the radio and talked about his ex girlfriend and how she got so nuts he put a restraining order on her. Crazy bitch ends up breaking the order and starts harassing him and his new girlfriend. The ex tries breaking into his apartment and he shot her in the leg. I don't blame him lol.

If a woman punches me in the face I'd be forced to defend myself.

I mean

have some of you seen women fight before? Some of them are scrappers. If a woman decides to grapple with me in a serious way I don't have a problem with incapacitating her.

I dont know if I could shoot an ex for that....would depend on what she is capable of I guess.
I probably would have held her..had the gf call the cops...then let her run before they got there...give her a sporting chance;)

I wont hit a woman, but I wont let her hit me either. I'll hold her butt down till she chills out or something. I walked away from a woman during a disagreement at a party a long time ago, she spit on me and when I turned around I got hit by a beer bottle in the face. It took all of my will not to head butt her into a pile of mush. After that I was like, I dont walk away and I dont get hit. I play defence untill she leaves or get tired of being held down. She's lucky if she doesnt get her wrists zip tied and left on the ground lookin like an idiot.

I believe a true man does not ever need to hit a woman for any reason other then that she may have a weapon. A weapon to me levels the "battleground" in a sense. Though I would hope the "hit" would be to disarm a woman and not to abuse her repeatedly. Even if the woman is unarmed there are other means to defending yourself such as using different holds, but one must make sure to never use excessive force such as using a choke hold in it's full form. Overall, I believe that certain situations may call for it, but only as a means of defense or when your life may be on the line. Just my own thoughts as usual.

:homo:

As someone who has been abused, I understand. But I don't think the answer to violence should be violence. And typically a man is physically strong enough to walk away without damage from a woman. Not so when the tables are turned.

Though one must keep in mind that the women who are doing life in prison are not there because of the "five-star" meals. When it comes down to it...

...both men and women are responsible for walking away, but we cannot expect that to happen in a world where being stubborn is plentiful. Instead, we must be responsible for ourselves in that aspect.

Being someone who was also abused as Satin- I agree that violence should not be the answer to violence. There are other more therapeutic ways to deal with it. It boils down too for both to be the bigger persons ( both male and female) to know when to walk away and be responsible for their own actions. I know, it's easier said than done especially when in the midst of such a situation :(

I don't think its right in either direction

Likewise, don't believe either should throw punches at anyone, for whatever reasons.

Yes I do believe we have the right to defend ourselves, but most if not all can be dealt without the use of violence. There are some women who would use stigmatisation as a weapon to hit a man, which without doubt is so distastefully wrong

LOL I've seen some women that look like male body builders :24:

Nah but really, I've seen some serious chick fights. If a chick comes at me looking to hurt me she made her choice.

Hence, nowadays at court hearings for domestic violence- where a husband was charged with felony charges for battery and assault with deadly weapon or what not. The husband charged can countersuit against the wife. The court/investigators check the validity of the man's countersuit in re: physical strength, build and height of the woman vs the man.

Or even for cases as you guys stated, investigators of course has means and ways ( forensics-wise) to be able to prove self defense or what not. As of couse in the society, the tables can be turned by the woman to claim she was hit by the man given men are generally stronger than women. If it's proven as a self defense by the man then there would then be a case against that stronger, attacking woman. Which i think is good so there is equality when it comes to these issues :cool
