Does it bother anyone else when...

Random strangers come up to you in public and grab your child's hand or something because they think the kid is cute? It doesn't bother me when people tell me Dean is adorable or anything like that, but it DEFINITELY bugs me when they just come up to him and start grabbing at him, especially without asking "is this alright?". I mean, they see me standing RIGHT THERE looking at them, and they just continue. Some people are seriously fucking ill-mannered.

Happens with Liam all the time.. I get very upset and ask them to not touch him. They try to touch his hair of his hands or his cheeks.

At one time I considered telling them to fuck off, but in the end it's all pretty harmless and now Liam is starting to act shy so it works out well when they come near him he starts to scream!

LOL! Well I don't want Dean to be shy, but, god knows what people touch and then they go touching my kids hands? He puts them in his mouth and if the person is sick, he could get sick too. Does no one have any consideration?

I know what you mean about germs though.

Liam would go with anyone if they put out their arms to him.. used to scare the pants off me. Now it's more apt to cling to me when someone wants to take him off my hands... I am glad it's starting to be strange with strangers.

Did they used to touch your belly when you were pregnant? haha

Happened all the time to my friend. She ended up buying a shirt that said "If you didnt help put this here, dont touch" or something like that lol

Oh I hated that!!! I like my personal space and am not a touchy feely person at all so when people I barely knew started touching my belly I was not happy:mad

:eek:wtf:Maybe it's an American thing but that is bang out of order here! If I had kids and a random stranger grabbed their hand, I'd kick the fuck out of them for it!

That's a good thing... Dean is WAY too open to strangers for my taste.

Next time it happenes, lick your palm and touch the strangers face.

They won't do it again :ninja

BAHAHAH!!! LMAO I will SO do that, that's fucking hilarious.

It drives me nuts! My kids tend to attract people, and they love the attention, which makes it even harder.

Dean is the same way. Loves the spotlight -_-

I don't have any kids but that would bug the crap out of me, I'd go off on someone for that.

I have before.

Touching random babies would seem weird to me =/

Right? I smile and wave to little kids, that's it.

It's odd to us mom's too...

Oh hell yeah that happened so often. Actually, when I was 9 months along my friend asked me to "supervise" her birthday party. I had so many drunk men telling me not to drink. DUR. Then I had one male friend come up to me, "Megan, can I feel Dean kick?" "Sure, Albert." "You know, it's really amazing that you're doing this alone. I'm so proud of you." "Thanks Albert" This is where he continues to fall asleep ON my belly.

If only you were there LOL.

you should try taking a blonde haired kid to spain, the locals cant get enough of them

Uh, so I can have my child kidnapped? No thanks.

If I had a kid, I wouldn't want strangers around him/her. Never know what the strangers might do...
It's really hard to trust strangers these days (sometimes)... more and more people are doing stupid crap and making a bad rep for themselves and others (sometimes)

It fully depends on the parents.
I love kids, and if there is a little kid running around trying to grab my attention I'll talk to them, *maybe* touch them, on their head. But generally not, and only if the parent is smiling and obviously ok with it.

A few years ago I worked as a nanny for 3 beautiful girls, with blond curly hair and HUGE blue eyes. All of them were stunning, whenever we were in public people would constantly be touching their hair or face. I had some asian tourists ask if they could take photos of them on more than one occasion.
I said no of course. It made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and panicky. So I can understand where you mothers are coming from!
