I have decided to make a thread to keep track of my farm's foals this year. I'll update it every time one is born. Last year we had 15 foals. I was put on nights to be the main foaling person and I ended up only supervising 4. The rest of them either foaled on my nights off or during the day. It was both amusing and frustrating for me.

This year seems to have started the same. We had our first foal on Friday night. It's a filly (female) and you guessed it...it was born on my night off! :willy_nilly: NOT FAIR! :willy_nilly:

Anyway, I'll be posting pictures from time to time as well. No pics yet as I don't have my camera at work tonight.

Yay for baby horses! happydance.png

Congratulations keep up good the work. Also your right that it takes a certain amount of talent to kick oneself in the butt. When you work hard it pays off.

I miss the times as a kid when a friend who was a care taker to a farm that raised and trained stallions- would allow us to go see the horses and when they had foals just like this one. They are really so adorable especially seeing them grow to great looking stallions soon. Amazing Argentinaflagandsmileyonhorse.gif

Does his...man juice...sell for a lot? Or do his owners keep it all in the family? OOC.
We've bred most of his foals up to this point but he is actively marketed to the public for breeding. His stud fee is fairly high for an Arab. It was $3000 per breeding last year. I'm not sure if it's gone up at all this year. He's had a lot of interest from outside breeders but I don't know exact numbers. Right now he's a super star. :D

He's in Scottsdale right now. You should go see him if you have the chance. He's so much more awesome in person, especially when he's showing. That horse was born to show, and he knows it. :p He'll be showing in Junior Stallions, I believe.

That's awesome. I know someone who's down here for the horse show every year, so if we wind up going out there, I'll have to check him out. :D
