There has been a fair amount of displeasure expressed about this last challenge. Do you guys think it would be better if I did straight trivia for challenges, as I had originally intended? It wouldn't be quite as interesting but then I wouldn't have to worry about wording my challenges down to the last tiny detail trying to avoid the conflicts that this one has caused. :surrender

IMHO, it was fine. The author of the pic on the team I'm with did a mighty fine job of it, despite not feeling too well.

You can never please all of the people all of the time ;)

Well, I'm not trying to please people. I don't think trivia challenges would do that. I'm trying to be less ambiguous with the challenges because ambiguity just seems to cause trouble. :smiley24:

Part of the fun of this game is to find the little loopholes.

If somebody reads a challenge and interprets it strictly and somebody else sees a way to tweek an advantage, that part of "Outsmart".

I've ran and participated in a few of these, and you would not BELIEVE the crap people pulled. For instance, the board was white text on a black background. Somebody (OK... me) answered a timed chain challenge in an early version of the game with "I have no idea" in white text. The opposite team posted their answer and claimed victory.

I told them "highlight my post" and in BLACK text which was invisible were the words "why anybody wouldn't know the answer is Tacoma." :D

Since they had declared victory prematurely they were declared the loser of the challenge and had to vote somebody off. From that moment on, people had to check every post for "black text", superscript text", image text" and all sorts of nasty little tricks.

Point is... looking for a new way to be sneaky is part of the game. Don't sweat being too unambiguous unless you specifically want to.
