Anybody have a Verizon Android phone? Need help

Just got a new Motorola Verizon Android

I have gmail but can not get the calendar to sync

When i click on the calendar icon it asks to sync to an account

I did all that but none of the events show up on that calendar

I went into google and did a sync there and inputted the code they call for.

Yet nothing shows up on the calendar

But I just got a notice of an event. Still the event does not show up

I am missing something here but have no idea what.

If anybody has a better calendar or widget or any ideas I would be most grateful

Alien Allen..... I just read an article about 'Spyware' on Android phones, as well as BlackBerrys, iPhones and others that easily accept apps and have ample processing power.

It allows hijackers to hear your calls, see your text messages, emails, photos, files, and track your location through constant GPS updates.

The phone can even be turned into a microphone -- it can be remotely turned on so conversations around the phone can be heard.

Without going further into what the article was basically saying..... the best prevention is to use a handset pass code to lock your phone and prevent anyone else from using it. And never open links in emails sent to you by unknown parties.

Your best defense is to buy a $20 phone with prepaid minutes for your sensitive conversations.

For those that wonder if their own phones are infected, here are some warning signs:

1. Your bill shows texts to unknown phone numbers, often occurring at the same time as legitimate calls. (Someone is monitoring you).

2. The battery is warm when phone is not in use or it dies quickly. (May mean that power is being drained by spyware.)

3. Your phone flickers when not in use.

Anywho...... Just something else to give pause and think about. :)

Well, aren't you just a Sherlock Holmes kinda gal. ;)

Yes. Yes I am. :D

I actually like to know everything about a product before I consider its purchase. In this case.... I'm not interested in such a product.... I use a Virgin Mobile cell phone that I prepay for use. Yes. I am also frugal.

...... but my good friend here, the OP, is now the proud owner. I'm sure he already knows all this stuff. :ninja

..... but in case he doesn't.... I help where I can. ;)

Are you looking at the monthly view or the day view?

All it does on the monthly view is show little blue dots on the days you have events on your calendar. You have to view the actual day (hit the menu key and then day) to see the events.

nothing show up

no blue dot and nothing on the day

it acts like it is not synced yet it did send me the alert 15 minutes before the event today

oye
