It's really annoying... ya know?

You talk to people and all that, but, something about them makes you aggravated...
Like, I have tons of friends who are always negative about EVERYTHING, yet, it's a pain in the a$$ when you say stuff to make them feel better and it goes in one ear and out the other...

Like, we try to say something to cheer them up, or at least get them to quit complaining or something, and it just bypasses them like nothing...

It's like, why do we even bother anymore?

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, sh*t happens, life isn't supposed to be fair, and things don't always go your way... deal with it.

People die alot, drugs are common these days, love and marriage can become a disaster at any moment, and things just aren't all "HAPPILY EVER AFTER"... -_-"
Sooner or later... the people who are too serious about everything or who worry to much, will meet their fears and then begin to hate themselves for it...

Life isn't easy, and you can't expect 60%-100% from anyone or anything...

Anyways, sorry for this "emotionally damaging" post, I just figured it came into my mind, so I had to say something about it... it just bugs me how people can become so depressed and angered so easily -_-"

your first mistake is having tons of friends. my grampaw said if you needed the fingers of two hands to count your real friends, you have too many.

if you have a smaller circle of friends who maintain a positive outlook firmly anchored in the here and now, it gets real easy to just walk away from people who are blathering themselves into a whine festival or pity party mode.

i simply will not listen to anybody who is going to bad mouth somebody who isn't there. i'll referee if they need it, but i won't play go between. they either change the subject or i leave. no arguments.

after the first couple of minutes of listening to somebody whine about something messed up in their lives, i'll suggest that they need to pay me at least a dollar a minute for counseling. that one usually works to lighten things up and if it doesn't, i don't do pity parties either, and will leave if it continues to be a downer.

another concept that seems to make a positive impression is a consequence of newton's third law: the more you complain, the more you will get from the universe to complain about.

most of the traditional hebrew faiths recommend that if you have nothing good to say, it's best to say nothing. the buddhists say to give thanks for your misfortunes and the native americans say whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

i say keep smiling, sing, dance and laugh so much that people who have deluded themselves into thinking they're normal are sure you're nuts.
