Damnit or dammit? I've always spelled it damnit, but my iPhone and my Chrome spellcheck say dammit.

I've always spelt it dammit. I mean, it's a phonetic interpretation of two words spoken as one. Damnit doesn't make any sense at all, unless you write it as 2 words: damn it

Remember, phonetic words are spelt as they sound. I hear no "n" in dammit.

It's damn it. But a lot of people just put the two words together making damnit. I know I've been guilty of it, but I try to keep it the correct way.
