Laughing smiley

You know this one --> :24: <--

Do you actually use it when you're pissing yourself laughing, or as sort of a substitute instead of saying 'lol' where you smiled/giggled but didn't actually laugh out loud?
To be honest I think it's used too much, but then again, I hate the thing lol.
And while we're at it...what kind of smileys do you hate?

I don't use it, but I'm pretty sure most people that do use it actually roll around on the ground laughing elastically.

It's probably like saying 'lol'. But now when people say 'lol', it really means... "That wasn't that funny, but I feel obliged to say lol to make you feel better".

I've got a nasty habit of adding 'haha' onto the end of sentences now when I'm talking online.

"How was your day? haha"

I'm huge on grinnies. I come here to relax and have fun. Regardless if I overuse it or not, I'll always use it to convey playfulness. :D
The days I do not feel playful? You won't see my scrawney ass here. :)
Mods and admin have enough on their hands without chasing a grumpy midget around with the ban hammer.
(posting from my phone...I don't think my smiley and grinney are working. Nor my sad face.) :( <<<-------------

I prefer smilies to 'lol'. I've never used 'lol'. In general, I convey my emotions in words, but not everybody receives the intended sentiment coming from the computer screen. I like the "Sarcasm Alert" best because I find sarcasm is the most misinterpreted.
And yes, I did use 'lol' in this post so I can't say I've NEVER used it before. (In case a smartass wanted to point that out.)
