I am watching this game with my sister on Skype.
i am in shock, i watched that debacle with my jaw on the floor, if ever there was a need for evidence of global warming there it is
the biggest fucking meltdown since the ice age
i gather during the second intermission the russian coach was so livid and animated with this boys and their lack of offensive effort he broke the friggin whiteboard - it shows, they came out on fire and we rolled over and let them - one or two i can accept but five friggin even strength goals is totally unacceptable
what the fuck did our coach do, apparently nothing
i am disgusted
Well played Russia the gold always, always goes to the team that wants it, our bunch of hyped up rich kids can go fuck themselves with their NHL signing bonuses
mad as hell at the coach, he coaches a very very good OHL team in Mississauga, he has a ton of experience, and stood there like a deer caught in the headlights - the kids will learn from thsi but one of the problesm with our top juniors is that they are told mid way throught their junior career that they are the next great one (Spezza prime example) they come up with a tone of skill but no hunger, the russian kids, only one of whom plays in North America had hunger but more importantly they had a hungry coachare you bitter? I am sorry the team (not the country, they represent you) melted like spring ice...I am so used to that numbing feeling (do the years 2010, 2007,2003, 1986 mean anything? between the Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox (twice in one lifetime is painful enough) the only way things get better is to chalk it up as lessons learned and never forget your past. I am not going to put more salt on your wound guys (been there, done that) for it might bite me in the a$$.....remember that today is a new day...
thinking the Russian coach knew that his team was desperate and if nothing else (had Russia lost) would give an effort. looking at the highlights (or low-lights) the Russians seemed to have fresher skatersmad as hell at the coach, he coaches a very very good OHL team in Mississauga, he has a ton of experience, and stood there like a deer caught in the headlights - the kids will learn from thsi but one of the problesm with our top juniors is that they are told mid way throught their junior career that they are the next great one (Spezza prime example) they come up with a tone of skill but no hunger, the russian kids, only one of whom plays in North America had hunger but more importantly they had a hungry coach
