Heavy snowfall returns to UK

Yeah snow like this isn't a common thing to happen. I remember being amazed if we got a couple of cms that melted before midday. Snow this deep was only something I saw in Scotland on the news lol.

My greatest wish as a child was to have snow on my birthday and it never happened. This will be the second time it has happened and I hate it :24:

I think that volcano in Iceland caused these snowfall this time around, eruptions normally causes this effect even months after it goes quiet

really? that surprises me, i though you guys hardly ever got snow, like once every fifty years or so

:eek We get snow where I live most years, it just dosen't normally last for more than a few days and isn't quite as cold as this. The coldest I've ever known it in my 22 - 23 years of living in Harlow before this was -5. Also the snow usually comes in January or February, not this early. This year was the first time I've known proper snow in November and I've never had a white Christmas before.
