We've got more points than at this stage last season when we didn't get relegated plus are in the semi finals of a major cup. I'd rather give Grant more than a few months to sort the team out that fall for the same knee jerk reactions that teams like Blackburn and Newcastle go for. Think where Man Utd would be now if they had sacked Ferguson after he was given far more time than Grant and was producing shit still, in his early days there?

Its still more than any of the other Chelsea managers with pot loads of cash managed to achieve there. Of course Pompey got relegated, did you seriously think they would stay up having been forced to sell all their good players? Makes getting to the final a remarkable achievement.

I actually think Grant's a good manager who has been unfortunate. With Portsmouth he came in in November when they were already fucked and he had no control over the financial situation. At Chelsea he was one kick away from the Champions League, one win from the Title but to be honest he could have won both them, the London boat Race, deal or no deal and cured cancer and he STILL wouldn't have kept his job. But because Brammers couldn't get Scolari that early he had to stick with Avram (remember he was promoted form upstairs)
