Bus driver shrugs off snowy hill

It's because they are scared shitless of getting sued in case there is a crash.

My dad is a bus driver and the companies in Wycombe, at least, send out of service buses in the early hours (normally around 6am) to test the routes. However, after the out of service bus comes back, it is up to the drivers if they go out.

Last weekend the roads were COMPLETELY clear, yet a good deal of bus drivers just wouldn't go out. Now, if the bus drivers don't go out becuase of weather conditions they are meant to stay in the headquarters for when/if it is safe to go out. Yet last weekend my dad said the headquarters was completely empty becuase drivers just went home or did Christmas shopping.

Impressive.

As for the work shy drivers, I guess if there's a chance of crying off work because of snow and thinking you can get away with it, people will eh.

I would be happy if these work shy a$$ swipes did their jobs properly, I had a bus driver who was driving at 10 mph no snow to be seen, no traffic, then has the audacity to tell me "that I should of got the earlier bus" which reminds me I am going to complain to both the unions and his employers about this incident
