does this ancient mariner of the information ocean espy a flotilla of obscure news enthusiasts?
i was already in a fabulous mood after a week of feeling shitty and not complaining about it a whole lot.
if my eyes are not deceiving me because of some false hope that came springing out of the depths of some race memory deeply embedded somewhere in my atrociously inbred levite jeans, and this is just an illusion, let me just say, thank you for such a lovely page to see when my browser resolved my request to display this forum's current top page.
it has been a long time since i have seen a page in a forum anywhere where there was nothing displeasing or offensive to my sensibilities. pardon me while i go lay some rep around and take a peek at my feeds to see what you trawlers may like.
i just got off the phone with mom. they're 82 and are going to be somewhere in south bama for Q1 2011. i haven't asked and she hasn't said. in the cycle of the lifelong angst between me and my father, he is currently not talking to me. no biggy, we all love each other, just sometimes have a tough time getting along. time and distance work well for my family and have since i was old enough to even be a part of the drama beyond another mouth to feed and body to clothe.
anyway, before i ramble too far in the wrong direction, i've noticed a whole passle of fisherman schooling around here and especially AUFred posting under a bama logo. she was almost crying when she told me my father would like me to ask you folks if there is someone who will get him out on the water while they're there.
i warn you. he can go seven days a week, from dawn to dusk casting his plugs into bass holes and he's one of the best that still lives. my pop knows where the lunkers live and how to get them to strike at anything. he can coax a ten pound largemouth into a net in under 10 minutes on ultralight tackle.
when i was much younger, we took that ultralight tackle on a drift boat out of miami. when we boarded, the mate called him a polack. withing an hour of watching the three of us catching so much on the ultralights, everybody else was wanting to know if the boat had any like that for them to use because they were getting skunked with their boat rods and 4/0 or bigger reels because they couldn't get their bait shallow enough for where the fish were feeding. we were creaming everything in sight with spinner baits called raiders that my dad's tournament partner made.
so if anybody thinks they'd like to take my dad bass fishing or light tackle saltwater fishing you will definitely be giving our family's domestic tranquility a big shot in the arm. to now, i have nothing to regret that i have ever done to anybody and the only thing i can foresee ever regretting is to have my father die without ever finding his peace with me.
if anybody would do this, it would really help prevent that from happening.
thank you
happy day
